A mask mixed of castor, olive oil and dry hair shampoo will quickly bring your dry hair back to life. Take a tablespoon of these oils and a teaspoon of shampoo. Rub this mixture into the scalp and wrap it with a warm towel. Wash it off after 2 hours, using hair conditioner and shampoo.
In case of greasy hair the following mask almost works wonders. Mix egg yolk, a few drops of castor oil and a teaspoon of vegetable oil and put the mixture on your hair for 20 minutes. Then wash it off with shampoo.
If you want to make a moisturizing mask, you’ll need fat sugarless yogurt and 2 tablespoons of avocado oil. Keep this mask for 30 minutes and wash your head with shampoo and conditioner afterwards.
People have greasy hair because of hypersensitivity of sebaceous glands to some hormones. This is a sad fact and you can’t change it. What’s make it even worse is that greasy hair often go hand in hand with hair loss. However, there are some hair care products and methods of treatment that can help to cope with the problem.
Tip 1: Relax your scalp
If the scalp produces too much grease, this happens because of congenital hypersensitivity of sebaceous glands to the hormone testosterone. This sensitivity is more pronounced during puberty. Cosmetics and other hair care treatments can’t significantly change this situation. However, you can prevent further irritation of sebaceous glands that can occur, for example, because of frequent brushing or because of a hot air dryer. It is also advisable not to use too hot water for hair washing and consider whether your shampoo really suits your hair and scalp well. Light massage produces a calming and relaxing effect. There are a lot of relaxing hair care treatments, which can be rubbed into the head-skin and left for some minutes before washing. They will help to relax your scalp and prevent dandruff.
Tip 2: Wash your hair daily, but do it correctly
Daily washing with a mild shampoo will not allow fat on your scalp to be distributed on your hair. It is best of all to use a shampoo for normal hair, as it contains active cleaning substances, which are rather soft and safe for everyday use. It will help you to keep your head always clean without damaging your hair and irritating the head-skin. Shampoos for oily hair contain stronger active detergents. Tip 3: Dry your hair in the fresh air

Dry your hair in the fresh air. If drying takes too much time, you can use a cone hairdryer. Push your head forward, and pull your hair at the roots with your fingers while drying. This will give it some extra volume.
Tip 4: Apply shampoo only to the roots
Washing the roots of hair alone is a good solution for greasy and oily hair, especially if you have damaged hair ends. To do this you need a bottle with a spout-syringe. Mix one part of shampoo for greasy hair and four parts of warm water. Apply this mixture directly to the roots of hair with the use of the syringe. Foam it and then rinse immediately. Some foam that gets on your hair while rinsing is enough to make it clean in this particular case.
Tip 5: Don’t keep you hair flat
All hair styles that don’t make your hair lie flat on your head are good enough. They include light back combing or using some forming spray at the roots while keeping your head bent.
