In winter our hair is exposed to temperature changes all the time. Blood circulation in the scalp slows down at low temperature and that is the main reason for bad condition of hair. It does not get sufficient nutrients to grow strong and healthy as usual. When we return to warm indoors after walking in cold streets our hair gets instantly desiccated.
To preserve beauty of your hair in the winter start with the correct choice of shampoo. In most cases it is best of all to use mild shampoo, but always consider whether it suits your hair type.
If you have hair type that is commonly called oily, then you will want to try oil hair shampoo with extract of hops, birch, or foalfoot. If your hair is dry and damaged, use shampoo with sea buckthorn containing vitamins A, E, C and rutin.
A general tip for both types of hair: never wash your hair with hot water. It makes it brittle and fragile.
It is also advisable to use balm and hair conditioner: they nourish the scalp and stems of hair, restoring its shine and making it easier to comb. Do not use plastic or metal combs and brushes because hair electrifies greater from them in the cold period. Pick up wooden combs and brushes.
Try to keep a hair dryer and curler away from your hair in winter. You probably don’t want to completely overdry your hair that is already subjected to adverse effects of winter.
